In his first public statement, he expressed gratitude to his supporters and shared his thoughts on the experience, sparking mixed reactions across social media.

Controversial Nigerian disc jockey and social media personality Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, has officially regained his freedom from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre—and his immediate reaction has sparked massive reactions online.

The content creator was remanded in prison custody after being arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate Court sitting in Ogba over alleged cybercrime violations, breach of peace, and making online threats regarding President Bola Tinubu and his son, Seyi Tinubu.

Shortly after meeting his ₦1 million bail conditions, DJ Chicken appeared in a livestream alongside his legal representative, Rotimi Stephen, to address his followers for the first time.


A visibly humbled DJ Chicken expressed deep relief over his release:

   "I'm back oo, freedom at last. God bless the   Nigerian government, God bless Seyi Tinubu,    and our president. I love you guys. It is not easy,  my fans. People that are free don't know what God has done for them. Freedom is good."

In a surprising twist following his release, DJ Chicken took his public apology a step further across his social media handles:

  He officially updated his Instagram display picture to a photo of Seyi Tinubu.

"Daddy Seyi": During a subsequent Instagram Live session, the influencer repeatedly referred to the President's son as "Daddy Seyi," begging for total forgiveness and stating that his time in custody had deeply transformed him.

He also uploaded a photo of Seyi Tinubu to his Instagram Story with the caption: "Hmm ddddy".

The Legal Background breakdown 

DJ Chicken's arrest stemmed from a controversial viral video in which he made contentious remarks regarding the 2027 elections. Although he later retracted the statements as an intentional joke meant to boost online clout, state authorities proceeded with legal charges.

Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore confirmed DJ Chicken’s release on X (formerly Twitter), noting that the content creator had reunited with his loved ones while legal proceedings remain ongoing ahead of his next court date.
